Fees

The Claim Resolution Process typically
costs $1,800.00 for Medicare and Medicaid
claims. However, the process for each type
of claim can be approached as a two-step process
with the fee for each process paid separately when
more convenient or appropriate based on the facts of
any particular case.

Step One: Verification of Benefits and Lien Investigation.

The cost for this service is $350.00 and includes obtaining HIPPA compliant releases from the client or referring attorney. Once a client signs the appropriate release, we will then be able to verify whether or not the client receives any government benefits, and if so, the exact nature of those benefits. Depending on what is discovered during this benefit verification process, we will be able to determine whether a client has received, is currently receiving, or will receive the type of benefits that would create lien or subrogation rights.

If a lien or claim is discovered or indicated, then this first step and corresponding cost are simply the first part of the lien resolution process and would need to be done under any circumstance. On the other hand, completing this first step can sometimes demonstrate or otherwise indicate that the client is not receiving benefits that would create lien or subrogation rights. In such a case, the benefit of this first step is the piece of mind that comes from knowing the case can proceed to settlement without the nagging worry of potential liability for failing to consider the reimbursement rights of government agencies.

Step Two: Lien Resolution.

The cost for this service is $1,450.00 and includes the real substance of the services that we offer. These services include opening a case with the appropriate government agency; contacting private contractors as necessary; requesting payment summaries and reviewing them for unrelated claims; disputing claims that are not related to the incident; requesting final demand or claim amounts; obtaining procurement or set-off costs by supplying appropriate information about fees and costs; notifying referring law firms of the final demand amounts; and, providing payment instructions so the claim is satisfied and the case closed.
